A note that Lakeview Lutheran Church, where we held our potluck, also hosts a food pantry and they are feeling the impact of cuts as well. You can learn more about their work and donate to them here if you wish. They did not charge us a fee for using the church.
More fun to come! Our own Jeff Burkhart will perform with his band Bruised Orange at North St Cabaret on Friday, May 2, 7:00 – 10:00 PM. They will be playing the music of John Prine. You can purchase tickets at the door. Are you in? (North St Cabaret is located at the corner of North St and Commercial Ave across from TipTop Tavern.)
And lastly, following up from our last potluck, consider joining Sally and Sandy at their house party for the Community Immigration Law Center on May 4th from 3-5pm at 1113 Glendale Lane. RSVP HERE
We can’t all do everything but we can all do something.
In solidarity,
